The Lakeville Volunteer Fire Company was founded in 1979 to provide Fire Protection and Suppression Services for the residents of Paupack Township. We are the primary responding fire company for all Paupack Township and the portion of Lake Township that is in Paupacken Lake Estates.
In order to better serve the community as substation was established in Wallenpaupack Lake Estates enabling a reduction in response time. The Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department covers 34 square miles of Paupack Township and supplies mutual aid to surrounding areas.
According to the National Fire Protection Association, 69 percent of firefighters in the United States are volunteers. It takes dedication and many hours of training and education to become a firefighter. Our members are continually offered courses through the Wayne County Fireman's Association , Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner an others to maintain high standards in performance.
Along with our fire fighters, Fire Police provide a vital role in serving the community by controlling traffic at fires, automobile accidents, mass casualty emergencies, securing landing sites for medical evacuations and protecting bystanders in emergency situation to name a few .
We are always looking for volunteers to help us serve the community. If you are passionate, dedicated and willing to put in time and effort volunteer firefighting or Fire Police is a very rewarding and valuable way to serve. We're excited to have you join the team!
